The Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxilliary is hosting a Jazz Concert fundraiser in tribute to Father's Day, honoring Altadena and Pasadena fathers making a difference in their community. The event this Saturday features a concert by acclaimed jazz vocalist Cheryl Conley.
Leonard Feather, the late jazz critic for the Los Angeles Times, described Cheryl's unique song styling in this way: "Phrasing with sensitivity of a horn player, her intonation--- flawless."
The concert will be on Sat., July 16, from 7-10 PM at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, 2889 N. Lincoln Avenue. Donation: $20
