Farnsworth Park, at Lake and Mt. Curve Avenues, is offering a variety of social and athletic activities for younger children through teens from now through the end of the year.
Children age 5 to 14 can participate in the After School Club, which offers homework assistance, sports, dance, arts and crafts, kids' fitness, and computer education. After School Club runs throughout the school year, ending May 31, 2013. Hours are 2-6 PM, and cost is $20 per month nonrefundable.
The park is also staring a Tiny Tots Flag Football league for children ages 3-6. Cost is $55 for the program, which starts Tues., Sept. 4.
Farnsworth Park is also offering a cheer team for girls and boys ages 4 to 17, which is going on now and will run through January, 2013. Cost is $35, with additional cost for uniform.
