The Altadena Sheriff Station is participating in a global "tweet-a-thon" today, using Twitter to track their movements and show residents what they do.
We're tracking their progress today using Storify, and will periodically provide updates. You can stay here, or if you're a Twitter user yourself, you can follow them at @aldlasd.. (Capt. Benedict will appear on KTLA, Channel 11, at 7:30 AM today to talk about it.) The virtual ride-along starts at 6 AM.
UPDATE: We needed to square away the station about Twitter hashtags, but everything is now humming along fine! Check out the updates after the jump.
