A few arrests highlighted this week, Focus Point Academy has some discipline problems, and 24 Hour Fitness, 'nuff said. Crime blotter provided by the Altadena Sheriff's Station.
A burglary and identity theft suspect was arrested (Jaime Aqualina, female / 28 years old, resident of Pasadena) by Altadena detectives. Two search warrants were executed regarding the case and multiple items of evidence were recovered.
Friday, April 5th
Altadena deputies arrested an individual for possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of drugs (stimulant).
Saturday April 6th
Altadena Deputies arrested Sergio Huezo (male / 34 years old, resident of Altadena) for being drunk in public after he was observed drinking in public and staggering on the sidewalk near Harriet Street and Glen Avenue.
Altadena deputies arrested an individual for domestic violence in the 2000 block of Washington Boulevard. after the suspect’s wife reported being assaulted.
Sunday, April 7th
A resident in the 200 block of Poppyfields Drive reported that between 03/07/13 and 04/07/13 someone stole his handgun, which was kept in a drawer at his residence.
Between 12:00 AM and 4:30 PM – A burglary of a storage shed occurred in the 900 block of E. Mariposa Street. Loss: vintage music records.
Monday, April 8th
Between 7:15 AM and 10:00 AM – A residential burglary occurred in the 1200 block of E. Calaveras Street. Loss: jewelry box and centennial coins.
8:00 AM - A resident of Altadena reported he was the victim of a telephone scam. The 80 yr. old victim received a phone call from someone who posed as his grandson. The suspect stated he needed $3,000 to post bail. The victim wired the money overseas and later discovered his grandson was not in jail. Loss: $3,000.
Between 8:35 AM and 3:35 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 1200 block of Calaveras Street. Loss: jewelry box containing misc. jewelry.
Tuesday, April 9th
Between 7:00 PM and 9:00 AM (Wednesday) – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the 1300 block of Valencia Ave.
8:33 PM - Unknown suspects in a grey sedan fired shots into the front wall and front window of a residence in the 100 block of W. Altadena Drive. The same location has had similar incidents in the past. No injuries and no further suspect info.
Between 11:15 PM and 11:45 PM – A vehicle burglary occurred at 24Hr. Fitness, 2180 N. Lincoln Avenue. Suspect(s) entered the vehicle and stole a black nylon backpack and stereo subwoofers.
A 15 year old student at Focus Point School was arrested for battery on a school official after he punched a staff member three times.
Wednesday, April 10th
Between 6:15 AM and 9:45 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Spaulding Place. Loss: Nintendo Wii, (2) Nintendo DS and a laptop.
Between 8:00 PM and 7:00 AM (Thursday) – A petty theft occurred in the 2500 block of La Fiesta Avenue. Loss: aluminum ladder 32ft.
Thursday, April 11th
Between 9:30 PM and 1:30 AM (Friday) – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the 300 block of E. Calaveras St.
A 13 year old student was arrested at “Focus Point” School for battery on a school official after he punched, bit, and kicked a staff member.
Friday, April 12th
12:10 AM – An assault w/a deadly weapon occurred in the 1900 block of E. Washington Boulevard. Subject (male/16 years old) was arrested after assaulting his sister with a kitchen knife. The victim (female/15 years old) sustained lacerations to her ear and head.
