We didn't want to hear this one: Paco the crimefighting chihuahua is Altadena's latest missing dog.
Owner Duane Dier writes:
Paco the crimefighting dog is missing. Last seen on April 4 in front of his building at 3 PM. Please if anyone has seen or picked up my chihuahua please call me. He never leaves the vicinity.
Paco became a celebrity in 2011 when a security video of him fighting off two armed robbers at Ace's Smoke Shop went viral over the internet. Paco was a guest on several talk shows, and had his own website, Facebook page, and Twitter account at one point. If you know anything about his whereabouts, please call Dier at 626-590-6862.
UPDATE: Between the time the report came in and the time we published it, Paco was found. Drier said that a homeless man had befriended Paco, and Paco just decided to follow him up to the hills where the man lived. Drier said he got on his mountain bike to the cave where the man was living, and Paco is safe and sound.
