The National Weather Service is predicing strong northwest-to-north winds across Southern California through Sunday, with even stronger wind predicted Sunday night through Monday night.
A Weather Service alert says there's a possibility of "damaging winds" in some locations in the mountains, with wind gusts as high as 60-70 MPH expected
The warning says "there is a possibility that mountain wave development could bring damaging wind gusts to the foothills above the San Gabriel Valley from La Crescenta to Sierra Madre."
Major roadways affected include I-5, and possibly the 210 and 118 freeways. HIgh profile vehicles should use extra caution as the wind event unfolds.
