If you haven't seen her yet, you MUST see her this weekend! Polly Frost ends the run of her one-woman show, "Bad Role Models and What I Learned From Them" this Sunday at Webster's Fine Stationers, 2450 N. Lake Avenue, at 5 PM.
Frost, an award-winning writer from New York City, spins tales that always seem to revolve around or come back to her family life and growing up years in Altadena, and the lessons she's learned from the bad examples she's met on the way. It's fascinating, funny, surprising, occasionally sexy, and a fearless look at music, love, literature, horses, and the lessons of life.
It's aided by an unusual setting: Webster's Fine Stationers, an Altadena institution that is adding "cultural hub" to its list of reasons why we like it.
Go. It will be two hours well-spent, and you'll be talking about it for a long time after.
Lori Webster says that there will be a celebration with local food, and a meet and greet with Polly afterwords. It's a perfect Altadena evening, and a perfect wrap to your weekend.
Tickets are $15, and you can reserve them by calling 626-797-1135 or email lorinscott_1@msn. com, but tickets can also be purchased in-store (show is limited to 40 seats). Due to some of the themes, this show is for adults only!
