A man wielding a hammer broke the front window of the Coffee Gallery as the shop opened Sunday morning.
According to the barista on duty, the morning barista was opening the shop at 2029 N. Lake Avenue at about 6:30 AM this morning when she saw a man running at her as though to attack. She unlocked the door to get inside and lock it behind her, when the man shattered one of the front windows with a hammer and shouted an obscenity that some witnesses said included a racial epithet.
